looks nice. I like the K&N type filter better than the one that says perrin, looks wise. Only thing that bugs me is that you can probably only use that with the perrin FMIC (at least thats the way it looks to me... seems like other fmics wouldn't fit.)

yea the perrin filter wouldnt clear the hood, it got messed up when the hood closed. The k&N does look much better anyway. As for the intercooler, Im happy with my CostumMSP side mount unit.

so is the cone filter that came with the perrin just to large for the hood to clear it or was it something that you did?

Well the instructions were not so great but as far as I know I followed them as far as placement of the intake. I have been working on cars for a while and I have learned that 99% of the time, even with a kit of some sort you usualy end up doing a little bit of work to make it fit. I will let you know that this intake was a very tight fit between the fans. In fact it rubs a little and I plan on notching the fan housing untill I can get some slimmer fans. Also the tube seemed a little long, I remedied this by getting a new element because the one that came with did not look so great (and I didnt like the quality). You could also trim the intake tube a little shorter to give you more room. I will prob do this as well, since my filter still makes a little bit of contact with the hoods heat shield. Ill prob cut the tube about a 1/2 inch or so. You will also have to do a little bit of work to make the bpv line work without being kinked. You actualy cant see it in my pics because I changed the setup afterward but, I have mine done nicely with another 90 degree elbow I got from the parts store. I will post pics of that upon request.

thats cool I have no problem helping out, expect a few probs(like vacume leaks) that we will have to solve. Also I want you to know that I dont claim to be the ultimate protege tuner. But yea Ill help. You may want to also look at the injen setup, in retrospect I think I would have gotten that one. I may still yet in the future. Dude we will have to roll sometime, there is a pretty big meet going on for all 757 tuneres on sun, maybe Ill see you there?

Sandspeed- yes hardpipes are my next mod. Just waiting to save the cash, prob do it like next month or so.

if i ever decide to get this intake i'm jus glad that i'm local to perrin so if it doesnt fit right i'll jus walk into their offices and politely ask them to fix their product and demand a free FMIC for my inconvience...hehe
