so after i take it to the welder the last time he says that the metal he was welding is contaminated so he's going to cut out a chunk, weld a plate on there and weld the fitting to that.... this was supposed to be the easiest part of the whole install wtf?

i'm repairing the header bolts with a helicoil set this saturday and on sunday i'll HOPEFULLY be able to finally really sit down with the haltech and see what the hell is up with that thing

it's cool, i emailed haltech last night and by this morning i already had a response, apparently the serial to USB is to blame. i guess the one matt sent is poor quality or something, it's probably just the driver that comes for it that's messed up. i'll definitely be stopping by best buy today and picking up those expensive ass gold plated hyper platinum diamond edition whatever the hell shiny ones.

got a new serial to usb and the haltech is running beautifully, now i just need to fix my exhaust leak and i'll be able to tune it fine =) i'm so excited my project is almost done!! after being an entire month over due!

fixed the exhaust leak and everything sounds amazing but i'm still getting electrical problems, i'll be rewiring the 12v source for the haltech to pin 71 today to see if maybe that helps it otherwise it's almost 100% sure an alternator problem.

If I where you i would run the oil feed line along the side of the motor instead of over the top of the valve cover.Run it along side of the drivers side of the motor. Have you had a chance to dyno yet?

alright i'll do that, i have the set up for the oil lines kinda wacky, i have a T coming out of the block with a line and the sensor, the line goes to another T with the autometer gauge and the line that came with the kit, i'm getting about 20psi at idle and it goes up to 60-65 at high revs/ highway speeds, is that alright?

thats pretty typical for oil pressure... one thing you can try (its what I'm going to do) is run a lind from the stock oil pressure sensor hole to a manifold (I'm going to make mine, its easy) that will house the stock sensor, my defi sender, and the turbo feed. mount it to the firewall.
