Alright here it goes. I just got it on my car. Stock plastic pipes and all. I have read all of the possible bov threads and have tried everything. I tried just the RS with every possible setting. Then I tried the dual setup. Both sound the same. That is the turkey. I thought that the RS would sound like a pishhhh but instead i get the turkey at every setting. My car has no modifications under the hood. Anything would help because I can not stand the turkey.

I think the RS is to big for the stock boost on our cars, it's slightly bigger than the type s. How did you mount the RS with the 19mm flange?

I work at an auto parts store in GA so I have limitless parts at my disposal so I pretty much hacked up some preformed radiator hoses and made a handy little bov pipe that opens up to fit the flange. So you think that the RS is too big. Its funny.... the damn thing sounds nothing like a GReddy. I got it from street unit like over night and put it on yesterday

can you take a pic of it? i've never seen a greddy bov attached to stock plastic pipes.

Most of the aftermarket blow off valves are designed for higer boost levels than what we are running. I've heard my stock bpv sound pretty wicked at 14PSI. Now I'm not saying go out and run that high but that's closer where the RS is designed to run. Have you read the other thread in the engine performance section, it starts of similar to yours and it's 2 pages long so far. Maybe something there can help.

yeah
I just took the stock hose and cut it to 2 inches length. Then I took a hose that fit over that hose. Then the final hose fit the RS and the stock hose. It is actually shorter than the stock bpv and looks kinda cool. I will try to get you a pic.

Thanks but apparently I should have gotten the HKS. I wonder if street unit will let me return it for the HKS and I can pay the difference for the $200.00 HKS vs. The Greddy RS at $185.00 or maybe trade for a older type s or HKS

I have the rs but running over 15psi it is very noticible between shifts but unless I go over 10 it is quite

yeah I just have stock boost. I wonder if i turned up the boost to around 8.5 or 9 if it would sound better.

Well you can try that but if you have stock internals just be careful.
i should be good up till 10 since that really is the limit for the injectors and the little T25.

really. it seems like alot of people with msp can run 8.5-9.0 w/o any issues other than getting kind of lean.
