Got my skyline today...xmod that is :D

and i already got the stage 2 engine upgrade. its not running right now though cause im masking off the windows to i can paint it sapphire blue metal flake tommorrow (evil)...im also going with powdercoat bronze rims to match the dark blue (err...painted rims )

ill post some pics tommorrow after im done painting. yea for me....

i wasnt a big fan of the yellow, so im repainting blue and you see the gold rims on the right. s*** takes forever.

hehe, my friend is the manager of my local radio shack, and we decided that the battery life was too short for those, we did the AWD and upgrade motor, so we hooked up a 9v batter and strapped it on the back of the fin.
not too great for appearance but the thing screamed.

worked great until we decided two 9v in series would be a good idea, circuits totally fried now with a destinctive odor.

lol pheonix, just add 1 triple a battery, and it will freakin haul ass, once you go more then that you risk blowing the motor from overheating...they can only spin at so much rpms

how does the rechargable batteries help out? i saw some guy on ebay that hooked up a third battery and says it totally screams. i wonder how i could do that without spending the extra 56 bucks or whatever he charges. did you notice a difference with the AWD?

theres a pic of mine..i bought the body kits and stuff but i like this setup best, matt goto radio shack and buy one of the triple a battery holders(single one) and you have to solder the battery wires to the new battery holder...it will only cost like 3 bucks or however much the extra battery holder is..o and the cost of the extra battery, and the rechargable batteries are decent, not as good as if you put regular non rechargables in there but they can be recharged which is a plus

werd...i want the body kit for the hood as well. i prolly painted mine on now but if i cant get it off, oh well. i kept the font lip black, and also taped off the front and rear lights, and grilles. everything else i painted over except the exhaust. i was thinking that i can go to hobby lobby tommorrow and pick up a few more paint pens to do the small turning lights and whatnot. is the triple a batter holder for the xmods or is it something you can just buy? can you show me a pic of that kind of setup? how much time do you get out of your batteries?

no i just primered. wait until tommorrow before you do anything, since ill be the guinea pig. well see how mine comes out before you go ******* up yours

oh you know what else? i was thinking that maybe if you got like 5 sets of those lights....1 for the front, and then get some like red tint or red tape they use in photo labs, and tape over the bulbs you could get neon effect?

whats cool about the extra battery mod is it just sucks that one battery the most so you really only need to change that one, so if you do this get the rechargables, just goto radio shack and buy a little black casing that holds a triple a battery, we did it to my brothers supra so ill try to get a pic from him
