LOL, no jealousy here, but you are right, to each his own. Great job everybody. I'd still like to see that rear lip on your car.

Looks real good... I am getting all the "stuff" to do the home depot lip today. You need to pull those door moldings though for sure, that would smooth it out completely.

What did you do to black out your tail lights? I am tempted to take mine apart and paint everything but the chrome around the light tubes but am afraid of leaking once the seal is broken.

Menzo,

C'est donc toi que j'ai vu passer sur Av. Gat... Je reconnais le background des photos! Si jamais on se recroise, on se fait signe! La mienne a des HID low et fogs. Mme couleur que la tienne. Pas bein bein manquable!

Now please in English :)

French is Ok !

I don't think leaking would be a problem if you break the seal and use carefully a hot glue gun to put the cover back. I first intended to break the seal and paint the inside of the tail light but I decided to tint the outside. Less complicated.

I removed the tail lights and applied maybe 5-6 coats of VHT Niteshade. Be careful it's easy to mess up the job (and those tail lights cost $300 each... ouch !). The tint is dry in few minutes.

Looks good,.......but your wheels look too small now with the bigger lips....Time for some 18s or 19s to even it up a bit.

I agree. My father recently bought a RX-8 (60 years old crisis I guess :-) and got new chrome wheels with it.

I'm trying to convince my father to take my 17" wheels and give me his 18" RX-8 wheels as he uses them as winter rims.

Could you believe that... 18" RX-8 wheels as winter rims !!!! It's horryfying !!!

ha ha.

I can't go with 18's, they would be messed up in no time with the roads we have....

I would love to have a set of 18" Bronze volk te37s on it tho...

Menzo, I PM'd you!

Dima: French is great too! Was just saying hello to him, since it looks like we pass eachother everyday.

Easy solution....run his RX-8 wheels in summer and give them back to him for the winter....It mean having to switch tires but it's an easy compromise....

That's my main concern : canadian roads, even worst Quebec roads. Now I own 205-50-17 tires and it is a bit harsh (the Mazda5 is heavy) I'm wondering how it would be with lower tires like 215-45-18 or 225-40-18.

Any experience with 18" ?
