I posted last night that I got my limo tint, but what I did not see last night is that they scratched my car, not once but six times, one was about half a foot on top of my spoiler, all the way throught the paint, then the rest on my rear bumper, all ranger from a inch to a foot, but only part of those scrathes cut through all the paint!!!!!!!!

I am mad, I paid cash because limo up front is illegal, I do not know what to do!!!!!

The Tint Shop, Shadow Tech, scrathced my car. I guess when the leaned over the back to heat the rear window was when it happened. Lets get em' enry, I'm sad! :(

Now, that is the reason I still don't have tint on my car. I know they will f*ck something up. i don't trust those kind of mom and pop shops. Actually I don't trust any mechanics. They don't understand that some people care about their cars. I am sorry to hear about your misfortune and hopefully you will figures something out. Did you get a receipt?

I have a feeling because of the limo tint up-front and that cash was paid, there is no receipt. Shops don't want to hand out proof that they are doing something illegal. But, that's my opinion on the matter.

Unfortunately, if comes down to it where they deny it entirely, you won't have any legal recourse without getting yourself in trouble. Once again, my opinion, I'm no lawyer.

Chris is a smart one. Kudos to you, there was no receipt, so I have no proof, what makes me mad is I went in there, paid $160 to make my car look better, and it comes out looking way worse, that sucks, paying money for someone to ruin your car!!!! How much do yall think it will cost to fix? The rear bumper and spoiler will have to be entirely repainted. Where is the best place to go to make it look factory? The Dealer?

damn Jag, that sucks, by the way, u need to tell me where r u planning to do the inspection with that kind of tint! so we can put the intake cams to our cars!
also, noticed u r interested on the bosal exhaust, go here: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MP5online/messages
and do a search on bosal for the goods and cons of the system, also, i believe it would need to be modified to fir our cars (something about the tip of the exhaust)

Jag,\

I got my tint done there too, (360 & Abrams right?) but may be a little wary about doing business there again. I wonder what the hell scratched it anyway? Could you get them fixed with touch up paint? Dealerships usually hire out touch-up-paint specialists to fix stuff like that.

I've seen other threads for the stuff you can buy to get rid of scratches out. Different people have had different results with that stuff though.

I would bet a could touch-up guy could make it look right, and you won't have to go to a body shop. Ask your car dealer who they use to touch up their used cars. They could probably do it for a reasonable price.

Don't feel so bad that they scratched your car because when I got my windows Tinted I got it worse the stupid retards cut my moldings when they trimmed the tint and chipped the inner door linings.

I went back and complained to the owner and he denied that his guys did it and sad dont worry about the moldings they will replace them when someone breaks into your car.

This stuff happens to everyone that is why I try to do all the work on my car my self.

Linuxninja,

Yeah, I had jacob do mine, he said that he had done another MP3, which i guess was yours. Anyway I went up there today and he denied that they had done it, which I figured, but they also chipped the pained on the inside of the door, and on our quarter panel windows when trimming the tint, they also trimmed the weatherstripping, and when using the heat gun the melted my drivers side door window molding.

Oh well

go to a mazda dealer and ask them how much it'll be to get it fixed. also, your insurance should cover the repairs as a "non-collision damage", you will only have to pay the 500$ deductible

I had mine tinted with no problems. I did bronze tint, looks good... but as for you i would walk into that place ask for the manager and walk him out to show him the scratches ASAP. They have insurance for a reason(you hope).

I got my tint done by my friends shop.

I was allowed in the garage and watched the entire thing. And they did a damn good job.

I'm very sorry about what happened to you.
