This afternoon my ms3 got a CEL. And the car smelt sour like vinegar, even from inside. I went to autozone and checked it out. It was CODE P0456 EVAP emission control system leak very small. My car has 16000 miles on it. Last service was just a week ago. hmm... need to return to the dealer first thing next Monday.

Take your gas cap off and then put it on right. Disconnect your battery for a few minutes then if the light comes back on in a few days call the dealer. An evap leak will not hurt much if you make it wait an extra week.

Tried what you said. The light hasn't come back on so far. Thanks.

hey is your wife really naked on the net?

The CEL was on again this Wednesday. Took the car to the dealer, they checked and cleaned it, didn't change anything.

Then on Friday, CEL went on again! My wife took the car to the dealer, they said they need to order some part to fix it. Not sure what part yet. Need to wait till Tuesday before I can get it back...

Got the car back today. Dealer said this time the code wasn't P0456, it was P2187 and P0304??
They replaced the purge valve, #4 coil and spark plug for me.
I wondered how those parts broke?..

This 2187 code is coming up on peoples cars without mods... I thought i had this thing fixed/figured out but now I'm concerned that its something else.
