those RSX Type-S are fast. If they launch high (and they can launch high) they are in the mid 14s...
Driver skill is important though...if you can't drive, don't expect to win. Not saying you can't drive...but I'm not surprised.
you may have a little more low end than the RSX-S, but it's not enough to balance out with their top end, and the fact that they can probally launch at 6000 rpm or so. I've only taken an RSX-S lauch (this is me driving the RSX) at 5000 rpm, but it probally could be launched at 6000 rpm.
That's the wonder of honda engines. They don't produce enough torque to really have you worry about wheel spin or hop, or even torque steer, but the top end power is untouchable cept maybe from Toytoa's VVTL-i engines, which I believe are better in their own right.
Having low end torque is a double edged sword. It's good if you know how to use it...but it comes with costs, torque steer, wheel hop and spin.
It's the same with a turbo, double edged sword, you only make power if you stay in boost.
Everything has ups and downs to it. It's up to you to figure out the weaknesses, and overcome them.
