got a question

hey guys,
Im new to the board and just got a new 2003 laser blue protege 5. I was wanting to put make a metal mesh grill on the front of the car and bought some "gutter guard" to cut in the shape and everything but I dont really see how to take the 2 grills out in order to wrap the gutter guard in.

Any advice???

Be carefull with the clips tho.
