Ive got a plan on how im gonna build my P5. Tell me what u think. Aside from the rims and suspension, first thing im gonna do is get a turbo, clutch, and exhaust. Keep in mind this is gonna be a 2 year plan. After maybe a year of that I wanna build the motor, port polish, pistons, and rods. Probably 6 months after that a bigger turbo. Not to sure about cams and pulleys cause everybody thinks of that as a waste of money. Im not trying to build a race car just something fast and hopefully reliable. does anybody have experience with a P5 like this? How reliable would this be? The only thing that sucks is that I live in Virginia and I have to go through emissions every year and that smog test might kill me. Anything would be helpful thanks!

well your tune will determine how reliable the car will be from what I understand. Also if your car is a auto you might want tt upgrade the tranny before any real boost above 5 psi.

Edit: This is from what I understand from reading other threads.

What about a LSD to go with the clutch? ECM?

i think it would be better to beef up the internals before going turbo...if you read through the FI area you'll get lots of helpful info too!

Agreed, make sure you have a strong foundation before you start adding power.
