I think many of the reasons why you get flamed or not for your decision are how you present it. I read your thread, found nothing of worth in it, other than you had logical reasons for your change, and you maintain them. I applaud you for doing so, and have no bad opinions on the choice you made.
In this guys case, the attitude conveyed in his first post was a little different, so it sparked interest and the need to reply for most in this thread. Had he came in and said his peace and had a set of logical reasons to change vehicles, then it might be a different story.
Overall, everyone has remained fairly civil about it, and if the OP is happy, go for it. Different strokes for different folks.
