Hey all you Baltimore are Mazda owners: Does anyone know of or had good experiences with any Baltimore area (Howard, Anne Arundel, Baltimore counties) dealerships? I got my P5 from a dealership down in Gaithersburg and that is just too far to drive in case I need something. I found several dealerships in close proximity I was just wondering if there was any word of mouth considering all the horror stories I read all the time about the "stealerships". Thanks! :D

I've had pretty good luck with the Russel Mazda Dealership on Rt. 40 in Ellicott City for parts. They have a sleesy sales and service department though.

*edit* Oh yeah...Fitzgerald Auto Mall on West Street in Annapolis was great when I purchased my Protege. They have no haggle pricing and the sales staff is pleasant. The service department is also pretty good for a dealer.

i bought my car at russel, and the service does need a revamping, but as far as reps go talk to steven, real tall blondish hair, great guy worked out a decent deal and has helped with stuff a bunch of times:), but the rest of the reps u can sense the shrewdness in them

edit: i drive by there all the time too, look for a black P5 with blacked out headlights, btw that is a nice mod ghost, now to replace my cracked windshield

Thanks a lot for the recommendations! :D I actually called Rich Morton last weekend to see about test driving an RX8 and the guy I spoke w/was pretty cool. Do you know anything about their service side derrick1623?

I used to work for Fitzgerald in G'burg - they're actually right next to the dealership where I got my P5. I didn't know they had a Mazda dealership in Annapolis, maybe I'll check them out too. Thanks again! :D

i aint used them for service, but i have heard that they are one of the better ones to go to.

Heritage mazda in bel air (harford county) isnt mazdaspeed certified but they have tons of protege 5's and an awesome garage crew. They alos have some hefty discounts and parts deals if you talk to the right people.

wow.. mine was only 16.5 with 0% for 48 months!! :)
Hope you got a bunch of options for that..

I bought my P5 from Steve Sherman at Russel, He was recommended by some friends. Steve is good and very helpful, but the service dept, especially the guys that do the delivery and washing. I have had a bit of trouble with them. They haven't done much to fix the problems with the car. Most of the issues could have been avoided by getting the car the next day, but I wanted my car.

i got my MP5 at russel from Liz (cute blonde on the subbie side* they have always been nice when i go there to get a quick wash and all but the parts place sucks and i would never have a deal service my car.... too many mods that they dont ever need to know about
but i walked out 6 weeks after the pro came out and i paid 1601.00 cash. out the door w/ tags.
course they wanted to charge me 129 bucks for the freakin pinstrip i didnt want and they put on anyway. it didnt happen.

Yeah I can't stand that "Dealer Installed" crap they try to force on you. If they try that with me, I just get up and walk. They will most likely agree not to charge you for that crap and will come chasing after you.
