Ok, 1 night awhile back my gf was cooking dinner and asked if I could go wash her car, NO PROB!
Who would pass up a chance to drive the MSP. Anyways I get it nice and pretty and stop at the corner store for my usual red Powerade. Off I go about to exit the parking lot with a old ass work truck in front of me with a tow hitch in the back. This ****** REVERSES! and did not see me and ran into the MSP. The bumper had a hole in it that the tow hitch punched. Anyways the guy had insurance thank god and we took it to Mazda service cause they had a paint and body repair shop on hand. Ok couple days go by and it was fixed and looked really good. Good experiance with Ingram Mazda(the one were we bought the MSP from)
Next the ECU flash came out and we went to go get it done at Ingram Mazda. Well they said they needed to drive it first and then if they feel it, they will flash it. He said he hasn't had ANY P5's come in for the flash. I laugh I said that's because it's soley a MSP problem, go look it up. I gave him print outs and he said he would give a call back. Early next morning the call came in and they did feel the hesitation and are going to do the flash. It's done we go pick it up and it rides great now, good turbo responce now. YAY! Good experience.
Ok 1 day my gf walks out to the garage and her windshield is cracked. I do a search here and find it's another one of the quirks MSP's have and again THIS SHOULD be covered under warranty. I felt it was a stress crack because it started from the bottom BELOW the plastic ridge adn plus it was in a garage on it, what rock can hit it there right, WRONG! We took it to Ingram Mazda to get this fixed and they looked at it and I guess there is a tiny ridge on the crack near the bottom so they say no it was a rock, by the way this chip is UNDER the windshield wiper! We are pissed, I talk some s*** and we leave, it's going to cost us 250.00 for the repair. While we were there we put something in the back seat and hear a POP noise. Everytime you push the seat in it makes a pop noise. Wanting to take care of the windshield first adn deal with a warranty item like the seat I know will be under warranty, we decided to **** with it later. We wern't going to stand for that ''it was a rock'' BS, so I had a plan, take it to another Mazda dealership and if that doesn't work start talking to Mazda USA. Bad experience.
We took it to another Mazda dealer(World Car), funny story this Mazda dealer tried screwing us on the MSP, after we agreed on the price they changed it so we didn't buy from them. Anyways we go and they said it IS a stress crack and have them fix the windshield, YAY! While we are there we tell them about the seat popping noise. They say WTF! that is not normal. It's like someone took all the padding out of it. Weird, so they ordered a new back seat and should be in, in about a week. Good experience.
So far that's our life in the MSP. All this built up over about a month. So far everything seems to be going good, just a couple bumps in the road but we got over them.
I'll never understand the mystery of the disappearing padding of the driver side back seat. I was like, It's the clunk but then it wasn't
