Well I found a local dealer with three 07's left that they were like can you come in today( on last friday) So here is the deal my wife and I will be trading in two cars my 07 GTI(2800 miles) and her 07 CRV(3200 miles) I owe 22,400 and she owes 23,000. They are asking 26,950 for the MS6 minus 3500 in Mazda rebates. We are doing this cause we will be buying the house we live in know in the next 30 days and need for two cars now is not pratical. So do you think I can get them down to 24,000 before rebates to try to hide some of the - equity we will have and get a lease payment at 300-350. With 1k down. As far as I know that should not be a problem hence my VW was
27k I put down 2k and payment is 300 so if we do 1k should be 320 a month, I just don't know how mazda holds their value? Thanx for any input.. Mike..:)

Nice choice. If you need money to spend on your house, stay away from modding the ms6. Also, I think you can bring thm down to 24,000 being that its the end of 2007 and the ms6 was a hard to sell car. Just be careful. Mazda dealers like to use their rebates to **** you. When you bring them down on the price of the car they will try to take away some rebates.

Yea if they try to remove the rebates I walk away. We will see. I will let you know hpw it goes..

Well dealer went well gave me what I wanted for my trade but the wife pulled the plug says she would rather keep her CRV. The MS6 is too small, mind you she has never seen it, or sat in it. The specs are the CRV is 1.5 inches bigger on interior room. Owell we as men have no say. She is the boss and it's a no go..(bang)

Just wanted to chime in and say I bought my 07 this past Friday for 24,900... they were desperate and I could have gotten them lower, but I was not in the mood to haggle. They really like me around there now (I went in for the emissions recall)... makes me think I threw away the chance to get a better deal (hand)

Look I know about it being weak sauce, but if you ever get married or have someone else in your life to make choices with you would understand. And
Gte024h, I know how you feel I have been shopping my trade and they went 1500 over what everyone else offered, and I know the would have come down to 24k atleast it's the last GT the have and they offer to drive the car to my wifes work and show her the car, What dealer does that man?! they want to move it bad, and it ticks me off she wont even look at it, casue I know she would want it.. Man she is killing me.

I did and we got a 04 Maxima sl fully loaded. Owell still nice power and plenty of room.

weak

I have a wife too... and kids. She called me while I was at the dealer and said I shouldn't give up the Protege5 (which was stock and dying). She was worried about it being a manual tranny. She was worried about the payments. Etc, Etc.

I said... "uhhh... that minivan I got you that you picked out is good right? Ok good."

They delivered the black mica speed6 to me that evening, and I am driving it today. I'll choose my own car thank you. Just my story. No offense intended.

same here....wife, 3 kids and as far as vehicles are concerned......we both have our input, but ultimately the final say is my decision. again, i stated "same here" so i'm not trying to offend. perhaps it's just another one of those life lessons we ALL must learn.

btw, i also went and bought a vehicle w/ out my wife knowing. it was close to a hundred dollars more a month, more in gas costs and insurance. we had a lovely talk when she noticed the new ride.(chair) that was the catalyst for the new rule on vehicle purchases. we both are involved, but again i have the final say.

Get your balls out of her purse

Its funny how all you say I have the finally decision, (blah) you do cause she lets you, and soon or later she is going to resent you for that if in fact you are pushing her to get something she doesn't want. We just got married and money is tight so she is more payment worried, She may say no but I choose to agree for now there is no way I'm going to start a fight over a stupid car( MS6 is not stupid) but you get the idea. What I want and she wants is the same thing but I'm more willing to spend then she is right now. Don't get me wrong on the other side either we both make very good money 100k, but buying a house, we are moving we are thinking of kids all at the same time and looking to get a car that coat 400 or more a month on top of a mortage on a 500k house and kids( another 10k) right know just was not right for her and us, so I wait a few years when all the dust has settled and then get the car I want.

anm6 I feel your pain... I'm in a similar boat as you, shopping for cars to replace my beloved 04 S2000 for something that has a backseat in the event we decide to have kids. It's give and take, for certain. IE, I want an 06-07 Evo, she wants an 07 Passat. Hence my researching the MS6 as a viable "middle ground" Sportier than she wants, but like Sifu said, "ultimately, it's my decision". Of course, that's in a 2 car situation. In a 1 car situation, I can see where both opionions would have equal weight. Still, a Maxima is no slouch!
