Have any of you heard much about GM's Ecotec engine? I've read in the latest Hot Rod magazine that it was built with future mods in mind. They quote some GM engineers say something like "It will handle 350hp with virtually no internal modifications". They claim the crank can handle 450hp, and it even comes with forged conecting rods.
I know the all about GM reliability record, therefore I wouldn't consider buying their product (I think overall their cars suck, but they could have some very good componets, ie. they supply BMW with automatic transmissions)
