I'm surprised something like this isn't already made, maybe it is for other cars. It seems logical that something like this would be desirable when putting a strut tower brace in a sport wagon.
Yeah, but how many people are trying to hop-up "sport wagons." I don't think the market is big enough. :D

That being said, if you could make one with a quick release that wouldn't snap I'd be interested.

That's precisely what I was thinking off. If the allen head bolt that goes through on each end of my front strut bar is strong enough there is no reason why that couldn't be. I don't think a bike skewer could hack it, but I could be wrong.

i going to tell you guys a secert, i got a rear stut tower bar thats made for the ford probe. the mod you got to do is cut the seat belt metal post.but i noticed the bolt to tight the bar on both ends must be taken off to fit, the price i got the bar for was around $40. i got to take some pics for you guys later.

Kinda like this?...........
http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123621438&highlight=rear+STB Mine was 25.00 & you can use a big crescent wrench & bend the seat belt metal piece lip up enough to not cut anything....sshhhh, it's a secret.

(peep) so buy one of these mx6/probe rear strut bars and follow the how to....that seems real good, oh wait hush hush, this is still a secret.....

I was planning to pick up a $25 strut bar from ebay for a while now and fab the brackets, just wasn't sure which one was long enough. Thanks the link made my searchin easy. Never saw it before. I'm gonna get that and some quick snap bolts from a bike store and i'm all set.

yup thats what i did! its been awhile, i did that mod before the gtspec bars came out. great HOW TO.

if the bar is as thick as the gt spec im definatly in, however i have subs in the back and they are about 1" too tall, if possible please make the strut bar curve UP then across instead of going straight across the towers.
