GI: Raceland Coilovers

I figured I would post this to see if anyone would be interested in Raceland coilovers if they made them for our cars. The process isn't that difficult. We just need anyone interested to email Raceland and simply let them know that we are interested. I know that the Hyundai Tiburon community did this same thing and Raceland was making coilovers for them in no time.

If you are interested please email dclarke@racelandus.com
Post on this thread after you have emailed them and I will add a list of everyone to the op.

Emails sent to Raceland:
1) Majyk
2) tyman108
3) aleclahaie
4) kibl34

i wrote to them when they first started advertising in magazines and they responded with "we have no intentions on making coilovers for that car", someone else on here also contacted them as well and they pretty much said the samething

I think we could do better than race land. I think they make crappy stuff. I know of a handful of guys that have had them on their cars and have had nothing but problems with them.

Send them an email tyman108. I sent them one and we went back and forth a few times and they never said they wouldn't make coilovers for our cars. We put a set on my girlfriend's car almost a year ago and they have been great. No complaints at all for $450 shipped and a 2 year warranty. The closest thing to a cheap daily driver adjustable coilover without adjustable damper for Proteges is the NEX Coilovers that are almost $800.

i sent them a email and never got a reply back yet.... and im also getting my friend that just a msp to send them a email

Please post links to these "cheap" coilover options.
NEX can be found for $800-ish (eBay), Yellowspeed can be found for about the same, check through CR3. You really wont' find anything cheaper than that unless you buy used, and you certainly wont find new $400 coilovers for a 20+ year old car that didn't have much of a tuner market to begin with. You get what you pay for...
Several people have tried to get some interest in racelands before, never worked. There's not enough demand for them.

If you want a "cheap" coilover setup you can usually find some GC coil sleeves used fairly inexpensively and then get a decent set of struts...but the struts probably won't last long unless you pay for a high quality set which ends up costing about the same as full coils.

Is that it guys? Maybe there is a Facebook page or forum for the Mazda MX6 or Ford Probe that would stir up some interest.

I have been looking at the Nex coilovers but I know a bunch of people in my area with Racelands and I know how they ride and what kind of quality they are built with. I know nothing about the Nex coilovers so I'm a little leery. It sucks that the "cheap" coilovers for Protege's are almost twice the price of cheap coilovers for any other car.

I've discovered something. I am sending some emails now to get some more info. I'll keep you guys posted when I get everything figured out.

Ok, I started looking all over for suspension again when I noticed that the price went up on the Nex coilovers that I was going to buy. I stumbled across Tuning Art or TA Technix coilovers on eBay. They were $700 shipped. I said what the hell an did a Google search and found their website where they are around $580 after shipping to the US. They are the German equivalent to Racelands. Basically Raceland, Rokkor, JOM and TA Technix are all the same.

Here is a link: http://www.tatechnix.de/tatechnix/gx/product_info.php/info/p4621_ta-technix-gewindefahrwerk-mazda-323-323f--typ-bj.html

I think I am going to give it a shot. What do you guys think?

Dude why done u just save up and buy a good quality set of coilovers? For 1000 bucks u have plenty of decent options that people on this forum have had no problems with. Cheaping out is only gonna bite u in the ass later down the line. Camon man save urself the trouble down the line and wait till u can afford a good set of coils.
