GI on budget turbo kit

We could do a Super 60 T3 as well.If we did this the kit would be $1900 then.We could make the T3 setup be a direct bolt on to our Sleeper FMIC.

I just don't enough about it, turbo sizes and heat, etc.

I mention it to friends and they say things like "oh thats smart, alot like sticking a hairdryer up your arse, see if that makes you run better"

haha not sure what its supposed to mean but obviously looked down upon

I wouldn't worry at the boost levels it is designed for, plent of cars run sans-intercooler... ofcourse you can always add one later, or even a air-water intercooler without too much trouble.

$1600 or even $1900 beats the 4k for a turbo kit with an intercooler. If the people want boost bad enough they will jump all over this. Sweet idea my$.02

There will be no option for a front mount. The TDO4H is only capable of 250-250hp.With that in mind there's no need to a FMIC at 6psi.The cost will take it right out of the budget title.
The idea is to bring in a reliable $1600 turbo kit that puts down 150-160whp.
I am not familiar with TurboTalk. Does this mean that the Turbo will *add* 150-160 whp? And, can anyone tell me what the hp is on a stock 2003 P5?

Stock hp on you car is I think 103hp and this kit will add 50-60 more hp to you stock hp witch will add up to be around 150-160hp after the turbo kit

The HP on the stock P5 is about 130 at the flywheel, or ~100 to the wheels. The ~30 HP loss is from the drivetrain (transmission, axles). This kit would put the HP rating at the WHEELS at about 150-160. More than a stock mazdaspeed.

well nothing has been made yet, so I ould imagine he would certainly consider making it possible, and like I said before, it should be in the general area, even if it wasn't designed specifily for it.

I'm basing this off the assumption that the manifold for this kit would be identical to the SS kit (minus the WG flange, and having a TD04H flange for the turbo) thus putting it in roughly the same position.

but that call would totally be in Beau's hands

It seems more people are interested in the T3 option. The T3 is good for roughly 300HP.The turbo would mount in the same location as the Sleeper kit and would allow the use of our FMIC.

wow, this would be an excellent idea for those looking for power but keeping the car reliable. (thumb)

Is there any way this can be upgraded later with more money and a trade in of turbos and other misc. pieces?

A fmic option would be nice too.

Another question would a GT28RS fit on the T3 manifold or would you have to buy a new manifold to make it work. Also is this a limited time offer thing??? I think it would be sick if the SS FMIC could work on it.

The TDO4H is a little turbo.6-8psi is about all you are going to get out of it and still be efficent.
If we go with this route(Using the TDO4H) we could make design a FMIC(if there's enough interest in the TDO4H).If more people would rather see the T3, then the FMIC we have now will work.
