GI: N/A Downpipe w/ Hi-Flow Pre-Cat

Well if some one would come up with a highflow cat down pipe that wasn't over 300 I'd buy one. I think one of wagners problems was the prices. He knew he had the only one and tried to stick people for it. Just think if he had it for around 200 he would have sold one for almost every header sold. The only expensive part it making the first one. After that it's all down hill.

Well if anything an exhaust shop can make one, but you still have to get the cat. After more research and comparing pics it looks like the 8100 series cat from random technology is the cat to use. But that cat goes for a good amount.

Since I already have the Ractive 4-1 header I really like the idea of a midpipe with two cats. Any word on how effective it would be? Someone mentioned the location of the pre-cat serving a functional purpose by letting it it warm up faster or something? I had always thought that the pre-cat had a different catalyst to work before the engine was warmed up.

I'd really like to lower my car's emissions, not for passing emissions but rather because I feel bad about removing my precat (the environmental impact).. I might as well do what I can.

Yea I'd be more interested in getting a midpipe with 2 cats instead of the downpipe. I think it would be cool if he made some kind of shorty header to go along with the downpipe so the stock manifold doesn't have to be used. Plus no one makes a shorty header anymore.

I guess your right, but what about the people who want to stay legal and emssions friendly? I know this would be great for those who live in california and other places where the emission laws are very strict. Yeah price is an issue but I think if a decent price is set-up then this could really be a success.

I understand and see your point.

For me The gains from a full header are worth taking 30 min to switch back the old exhaust/cat/dp for any inspection.

As far as Mods go, its the one that made the most evident difference for me so far.
