GI: N/A Downpipe w/ Hi-Flow Pre-Cat

Well since you don't have emission you should'nt even bother with this just get an obx header.
 
so i should go with an obx header? what about the midpipe? i have a mp3 axel back exhaust and would need something to replace the midpipe. doesn't mam make that and wagner also makes this product too right?

Yeah if anything just get the mid-pipe but if I were you I would just get the header and get all custom-piping down after it to your axle back exhaust boom and your done. Me on the other hand it's like frankenstien I have the wagner shorty header--->pre-cat---->stock piping to-----> hks axle back so I plan to get the MAM mid-pipe and a hi-flow j-pipe not to mention cat-back piping.
 
sweet...sounds like a plan! does anyone have any opinions on certain headers? i'm prolly going to go with the shorty header? what kinda prices are they? i understand the obx is around 180-220 on ebay and then you have to buy the wires to convert the 2nd o2 sensor or what not......i know this guy with a p5 who has a wagner header and says he would never buy one again, so i'm kinda iffy on why he says that? i know the 4-2-1 awr header is the best but that's a lil out of my reach price wise! any others?

It was MAM dyno day at mazdamotorsports they dynoed many cars that day and one was a P5 with the shorty wagner header. There is also a dyno sheet showing proof of the gains on the header if you search. I have the header and personally I love it I'am just waiting for someone like MAM to come out with a hi-flow pre-catted J-pipe.

I personally like it but like I said before if you don't have emssions so why get it?? It's sort of pricey too it ran me $285 for SS you can get mild steel for like $185 but it's heavier and probably crack over time if it's not jet coated. If I were you I would go either for the obx header or the Ractive header also it depends if you want a 4-1 (high end power) or a 4-2-1 (low to mid-range power) you also don't need a mil-fix you can get a non-02 sensor which is another way to get rid of the CEL.

I need to find someone who will make me a custom midpipe with two highflow cats(preferably random technology ones), 2.3 or 2.4 in diameter piping made of stainless steel and with the o2 sensor bungs. also it has to fit with the gt spec 4-point ladder bar and lower tie bar. know of anyone who could do it. awr said to fax them specs.....just wonder what the cost might be.

I heard beau was coming out with an N/A J-pipe but (shrug)there has been no update and AWR is really high-end stuff so it will probably be pricey but that would be cool. If you could also mention the idea of a hi-flow catted n/a j-pipe that would be awsome; ah man I hope someone makes this eventually.
 
does beau still make the ss midpipe with cat?...i dont see it on his site anymore...

So you ordered the J pipe from Juan and just added the midpipe with hi-flow cat? I know the J pipe is available for my 1.6 because I saw it on the HiBoost site, but is the midpipe available? Im looking to replace my stock cat with a hi-flow one, but the last one I had wasn't going to work with my setup. Where did you get the midpipe w/cat again? Website?
 
Since the OBX header isn't available to me, this is what I have to do:


Exhaust mani----> HiBoost DP----> MAM SS Midpipe w/hi-flow cat-----> Exhaust cutout---->Muffler

He PMed me back and told me that he still sells em. They fit on the 1.8 and 2.0 liter engines, which is good for you all, but he's not sure about the 1.6 liter engines, which is bad for me. So......

Now Im stuck trying to find a midpipe with hi-flow cat that will fit on my 1.6 liter sedan.
 
This is a biggg BUMP!!!!! Come on guys, show your interest for a n/a downpipe with highflow cat to be made. Right now there is no company making one. Wagner used to but he is out of business now so we need someone to make one. So people who have or had interest in this, plzzzzz post again so we can get this moving.

Big bump indeed.

You'd also need to look into if people care for the shorty header any longer. Interested, depending on how big of a cluster **** it turns into (not surprised if it does..)
