Talked to the shop the other night. Some good things to note:
As far as updates go. Im allowed to post anything i like. I guess im in charge of this whole ordeal. So, cad drawings, prototypes, drawings, material charts...its all good for me to post.
Pricing:
Downpipes:
2.5" $250-$350 is doable. This will include bracing (unlike ANYTHING on the market currently) and an 02 bung for tuning. I will get actual pricing once i get something modeled.
3.0" will be somewhere in the 300-400 range, same ordeal. Bracing and 02 Sensor bung. I will try to work the pricing so if u get unterminated but longer and a diamond flange to not cost more. again i will get actual pricing once i get closer.
Manifold 800-1000. This will include all stock provisions (EGR/02, etc) and a one of a kind bracing system. The bracing will allow for the manifold to provide years of extended service and avoid cracking that is so common with other manifolds. This manifold will be not only virtually modeled and flowed but i will beat the crap out of it personally (Im a brown belt in kung fu so this mani can expect many punches to its FACE!). Both physically and in normal conditions. This unit will be the LAST manifold you will need and want. That is my goal. Everything will be made for our car specifically. From the flanges to the runner size to the bracing... all of it. Again, i will get an exact price as soon as i can.
I just gave a range so dont be offput by the high side of pricing, Im going to keep these things cheap as i can. Also keep in mind that it will be a 1/2 down half when shipped process so you can save up for the 2nd half. These parts will not be comparable to anything else in terms of quality. You have my word that they will be unmatched. They will be made by someone with the same car as you, and tested rigerously (me). Everything from the welding to the materials will be top shelf. I could cut corners to save you guys some money but thats not happening. I want to make this the last downpipe and turbo mani you need or want to buy. Dont be off put by the pricing, remember that you get what you pay for. I think that philosophy has been expressed as truth so many times on this forum alone, nevermind elsewhere. So remember that once you get which ever piece you decide on, my aim is to not have you need another one. And if it holds up like i plan, its resale value should be excellent.
