GHL or CP-e Catback

So everyone...wanted to get some input from the community.

I will be getting a CP-e catted downpipe and a PG V3 manifold and I figured hell might as well complete the full exhaust.

Wanted to hear from people who have both that wish to share their comments on both catbacks.

Also if anyone knows of any issues of running the GHL with the CP-e dowpipe please let me know.

dont know s*** about GHL, I dont like the sound clips I have heard. but I know cpe is high quality and sounds real mean, you car will have some bark and bite with that full TBE. its gonna be loud! but if you have the cpe DP already just finish it off with a matched CBE that will fit like a glove. Just my .02 stick with the brand

I like the way the full cpe sounds. Real mean. The ghl I haven't seen or heard clips of the catback attached to another downpipe. I may be able to get a ghl for cheaper so I was putting this question out there to the public.

exactly the video i watch all the time lol...

was on my phone at work with previous post so had little time to quote vids. thats the setup i originally planned on using but then again things dont always go as planned with this car

I remember when GHL came out with theirs, tons of people were getting them, Then getting pissed at the pain in the ass it was to get it all installed to fit right. Local guy has the CPE one,and it was easy, and sounds just awesome.

im just biased. Get cpe. You get what you pay for. Cobb or cpe is good s*** and you know it, no guesswork there.

Very true. Of course, my Protege Garage FMIC is pretty damn nice, and was not as much as the CPE, but I am happy!

i dont kno if this helps at all, but i have the ghl for my ms6 and it is stupid loud. fine when just driving around, but WOT you cant hear someone talking to you. and there is a drone at highway speeds. I need to install a resonator. But this information may not be of any use to you since its different applications haha. just thought i would throw it out there.

thanks for the responses. i should have the downpipe and mani installed by next week. going to see how it sounds and then make a decision from there.

Just to be clear, anything past the second cat is going to be for sound/looks only. That piece of piping is very free-flowing in stock form, and you won't be seeing much of a difference as far as power goes. If that's OK with you, then great! But don't buy that section of pipe with the thought/hope that it will free up a bunch of power.

I was aware of that. Thanks though. Some looking at the thread may not know that. Catback on the car won't gain much when slightly bolted. Just figured I'd go ahead and complete the whole TBE while I was at it. It will sound mean (guitar) Then in the future when more mods come along it would compliment the performance a little more.

I run the stock CBE, I constantly get comments on how good it sounds with my DP/TP and Mani combo. Quiet around town and screams hard at WOT. Sleeper too, most ms3 guys around town dont know what I have going on till its too late. I wouldnt even get it honestly, not worth the 5hp and loud noise to me.

so the mani and dp are in. Car growls at ppl. They cower away in fear lol. I like how it sounds. Non ricey and not too loud.

keep in mind if you get a manifold it will change the sound again...

the manifold and dp were put in at the same time. i like the sound of the exhaust. not too aggressive but at WOT it growls.
shop told me dp would make things loud but that the manifold would soften it up a bit.
