i had some stuff laying around in the garage. i was gonna make a co2 sprayer but didnt have a co2 bottle.
haven't tested it yet. mainly because it's hardly functional, but i think it would be colder than co2
:D

just turn the valve. the one i used last night when i was experimenting had a hard time turning off b/c there was a leak so i teflon taped the crap out of that one, so maybe turning it off is possible now.
i was thinking of running a nitrous solenoid, but they're hard to find cheap (my idea of cheap is less than $25)

Co2 is actually colder. And that stuff is toxic. Thats gotta be one of the worst ideas I've seen in awhile.

My Co2 sprayer is the same as that except I use a 20oz. paintball tank. I made the valve from a garden hose valve (red knob and everything).

Don't breath that stuff in, seriously.

Oh, okay...you just run it into the cabin? Man, that s*** can make you pass out...probably not a good idea while haulin' ass.

r134a is extremely toxic and extremely corrosive, and R134a is combustible at about 351*F degrees

well this thread got more of a serious answer than i was looking for... i'm not actually planning to use this. it was much more a long the lines of getting an idea of whether or not getting a CO2 sprayer would be worth it.

i used R134a, is it corrosive as well? doesn't make sense why they would use something corrosive inside metal lines. (the a/c lines) nor use something combustable at such a low temp, considering the engine bay can get that hot.

he probably died trying to make one...
sorry to disappoint. i am still alive. and there won't be a video lol

If you read the labels I believe they also say not to vent it to atmosphere.
Yes it is a corrosive chemical. Yes it is combustable.
For an example if you burn r-12 through an engine it creates ?mustard gas? (Some extremely toxic bio chemical warfare s***, can't remember if it was actually mustard gas though)

You have the idea right. Just don't use the refridgerant.

i read it again and it doesnt say anything about venting to atmosphere; only the typical: contents under pressure. can may burst if heated. do not store in heat. do not puncture. avoid breathing vapors. use with adequate ventilation. can cause frostbite... yadda yadda yadda.

you got any specs on your co3 sprayer, i got a spare full bottle of co2 here and want to make a IC sprayer. like the valve you used, the tubing you used, where and how you mounted the bottle. thanks man.

I'm gonna take pics...

It ain't pretty. lol
like wiggles422 said. pretty means expensive. and im not worried about pretty, im worried about performance (drinks)

Be careful man. That is not great stuff to be spraying in the air. Just go to a paintball shop and get some CO2 canisters.

For me it's funny to see "cooling solutions" posted in mid-december as, over here, we've been having minus 10-15 degrees (Celsius) ouside and it's gonna get a lot colder soon! The car really rips! :D

so whats the word on the pictures or poart list of what you did for the ic sprayer BlkZoomZoom
