so i have the street unit mm 62a, it was good for about 300mi and then it felt like i had the stock one back in. now im thinking about getting the trz but im not sure if i should get the poly or derlin, i dont drag or auto x, but i do give it gas here and there and its my daily driver, i dont mind the vibrations but i dont want it to be obnoxious like ill be sitting there and vibrate off the seat, i also dont want the mount to feel like its back to stock after oh so many miles either. i also do plan on a bit more modding to so i want the mount to be able to handle what i give it. i have ets 3.25, hks bov, ms cai, shifter bushings. im goin to be get a tbe and cobb ap sooner or later, so i want the mount to hold up to whatever i throw at it.
what are your opinions on the vibrations, and how the break in period (how much softer it gets after a while) are... those are my main concerns

thanx in advance

I have the softer poly. I've had it in for almost 1000 miles and it still vibrates the car. My brother actually thought I was driving over rumble strips or road turtles last time he was with me, lol. It's not too bad, I don't mind it, but it is definitely still noticeable.

ok im trying to understand the "softer derlin" trz has a choice between poly and derlin... poly = softer, derlin = stiffer. and do you think while driving it feels like goin over rumble strips?

i have the poly and it felt like it went stock on me too i think i needa upgrade to the delrin. i love the vibs

My bad...check my correction above... I actually have poly, I was in a rush typing, sorry.

I don't, but at certain rpm ranges you can really feel the vibrations of the motor..... here check this out, you can see the camera vibrate at the low rpms when I was staging.

how many miles do you have with the mount?

i kinda leaning toward the derlin, i dont want the mount to go soft... kinda just want it to stay as stiff as possible... anyone else on the how soft it gets issue...

Either one is a good choice. Personally I really like the delrin but it may be a bit rough for most people. I hardly ever drive in stop and go traffic. If you drive in traffic a lot i'd go with the poly.

I have the delrin and do a good amount of driving. Poly would probably work for me, but the delrin is great for track use and no wheel hop.

Everyone should upgrade IMHO. The poly is for the casual guys, the delrin is for the heavy modders and extreme drivers.

k so im guessing i should get the derlin since i will kinda be heavy modding... and i do drive in a somewhat stop and go traffic

I got the poly and I autocross and drag race (occasionally) and its done a great job!!! I've had it for over 9K miles... Still vibes at certain conditions.
I vote for poly.

just get the delrin. i just ordered it a few days ago from ken over at PG( thanks for the hook up by the way!) Ill post my opinion on the delrin as soon as i get it in

i have both. i run the poly on the street and delrin at the track. if you dont race i would recommend the poly for most people.
CHANNAH.... i assure you the TRZ mount did no not go "back to stock" the poly will loosen up a bit, but even at that point it is still very solid. i'm not telling not to move up to delrin, just assuring you there is no weakness in your poly mount. if your driveline feels sloppy, check your driverside mount.
my side mount like to tear to s*** every 5k miles or so. seriously, it has been replaced 3 times !

well i still havent order a mount yet cause well im still debating between derlin and poly... does any one know the strength differencee between the street unit 62a mount and the poly, if they are about the same im going with the derlin

that mount was not out at the time we tested the TRZ so i can not give you an honest answer on that. what i can tell you is after over 150 TRZ mounts sold there has yet to be a single failure of either version.

i can tell you that the polyurethane bushing used in the TRZ is much stiffer than the 88 durometer bushing used in the AWR. i've only ever driven a car with the 62A su mount so i can't speak for how it compares to thier 90 model.

k i just ordered the poly hopefully its what i expect (stronger than the su 62a) :-) thanx for the help
