So im selling off the mazda and moving onto bigger and better things. Im looking at something no earlier than a 2000 model, 2 door, less than 60k miles, and something less than $15,000. Im not quite sure what i want but im open to opinons. I'll be parting the mazda out here shortly and the parts will be listed on here as well as another site. And just for the record, im not selling it because i hate it, im just ready for something else, i got the car to the point i wanted it at without putting myself in the poor house and its time to move on. This is the first car i feel i have completed and i really dont feel as if i have anywhere else to go with it that im willing to venture.

Anybody have any suggestions as to what to move into? Id love to have an evo but i dont think i can find one for the price i need with the right mileage.

rsx type S seems to be in your price range, and maybe have a couple thousand leftover for some goodies...

The only coupes I can think of that are in the price and years you are looking for would be the tiberion, S2000, miata, RSX, mustang, camaro, trans am, 350Z, GTI, civic si, accord. I know there has to be more.

I guess they made that particular body style up to 2001 as well.

If you're not against anything other than Asian:

You may be able to find an early 2000 BMW 325 coupe for about that much as well (possibly an MB C-Class coupe w/ Kompressor). Consider a Mini as well.

My buddy picked up a 2002 BMW 325 coupe for about $17k (40k miles).

the c class kompressor coupes are pathetic excuses for supercharged cars.
bmw maintence costs wayyyyyyy to much as does the mercedes.

I think im leaning towards a trans am or rsx type-s, s2000's and 350z's are hard to find around here in my price range without being heavily abused. I found a promising looking trans am in texas i may go look at this weekend schedule providing.

ms miata?

2000+ coupes for <$15,000 are chick cars for the most part, or an underpowered BMW. WS6 trans ams look nice but are pretty crappy inside and after riding in my friend's they don't look like they put you in a good position to drive. i wouldn't mind having one as a second car but i don't think i'd want to drive it every day

I have an unhealthy obsession with f-bodies. My first car was a 1991 camaro z28 305 tuned port that when i sold it put down 268whp and 305 ft lbs of torque on a dynojet. And i think im done with mazdas till i can afford the maintence, modification, and such on an FD. I definately dont want a miata, i dont fit well in them. I ultimately want a ws6 trans am but they charge a premium for the ws6 package for very little gain when i can get a base trans am and pay less in aftermarket upgrades and get more. Theres people running low 11's high 10's with daily driven setups making over 18mpg with less than 500whp.

Screw the lt1, it was old tech the second it came out. If i went anything other than ls1 in an fbody itd be TPI, i have a 355 tpi motor sitting in my garage and as i said earlier i owned a 305 tpi car. The lt1 is inferior in eveyr way to the ls1. Im not trying to knock ur car i love all f-bodies but the tech difference in the ls1 is well worth the extra cash.

The gto is a heavy beast, the f-bodys have a better power to weight ratio and handle MUCH better. Ive driven the gto's and there nice but just not what im looking for. Plus they dont get as good of gas mielage as a f-body.

Now if i could afford that new G8, thats a sexy b****.

i do good to keep a piston powered mazda in one piece, im to poor to mess with a rotary right now lol. Now if i could find an fd with no motor for the right price, ls1 powa!!!!
