I was really hoping that i would just buy this and install it with my Cobb SRI. What downside will i see to having to use a 45 degree coupler?

hopefully they will include some sort of short straight piping so you can connect the silicone --><-- silicone. but there should be no downsides other than paying 40 extra bucks

I am not interested in this anymore at this point either this is a very disappointing piece

More silicon hoses = more clamps that can loosen up...thats my main problem. I want this so bad, but i want it to be an install that wont become a nuisance later on. Dilemmas...

Well cant you just use the 45 degree couple to connect your intake to this pipe? You would have to remove the coupler from your intake but I am assuming that this will work.

My concern is that without a rolled lip, the silicone connectors are going to slide right off of this...

When will these be shipping next week? Trying to figure out if I will get this before I go on vacation with the car.

FWIW, the rpmc inlet does not have rolled lips/tips and no one has had issues

Yah, but it also has a hanger that bolts it in position. Not trying to bag on the GI thread BTW. I just really want to see what the final product is going to look like.

The final product will also have mounting tabs too. The pic I post today is the prototype. All the final ones are at the powder coater.

As for the coupler falling off. There no pressure to force it off, so a beaded lip is not needed.

This is not a cheap pipe that was thrown together to be mass produced. It has been R&D tested for the last 3 months, to make sure it's top notch quality for you guys. we even made sure that the bypass inlet was at the right angle to decrease turbulent air in the pipe.

Cool!

Yes, as soon as the first batch leaves the powder coaters, i will be shipping them out to those who have paid.

Sounds good but I was curious as to when next week they would ship. Early or Late? If it was going to be mid to late next week I wanted to have it shipped to our 2nd address.

Also do you know if I need the 45 degree couple is I have an Injen intake?

The powder coater told me Early to mid. PM about your second address.

This is a disappointing piece. I was hoping it was going to be made like the others....but guess not. I have a Cobb intake and i dont think i want to use the coupler to make it work.

I've changed my mind. Please remove me from the list. Thanks.

same here since I have a COBB SRI and im not willing to spend 150 at the time sorry.

No probelm, I don't understand how it's disappointing? One more coupler is not going to hurt anything, and if the prics for the extar couple is to high, you can purchase your own, or use one from a prior intake.
