gauging interest in SMIC

I was just wondering how many people I could get to be interested in purchasing a stock replacement SMIC for under $500. There is always the possibility of making pipes as well, but the price would have to be adjusted accordingly, so if there are more than 10 interested I could probably start putting something together next week and it shouldn't take me more than 2 or 3 weeks to make and dyno with stock pipes. Moderators this is just gauging interest. If there is sufficient interest, I will get with you and create a formal group buy for the product.

Very interested. Give me 1 month notice, and I can have enough saved up for it. I don't want to put it on plastic, credit card balances are already too high.

Trust me, There IS sufficient interest. Id say you would have 25+ orders AT LEAST.

Think of how many other companies have teased us with threads like this..., the first to make the smic at a decent price (~300-400) will get hella interest and probably wont be able to keep up with the demand at first.

I have money right now, SOMEBODY FINALLY RELEASE ONE!

I think so far this has answered my questions. I have taken measurements and will call Spearco to make sure I get a good quality intercooler. I'm thinking approximately $650 with pipes and possibly a BOV, don't take that as being from the bible though, that price depends on how much I can get the BOV for. Admin's, I'm sending a PM to make sure I get in all the information I need to go forward with this.

and please not a penny more then 400 cuz the FMIC are about 900.
If we buy a SMIC for 500 and hard pipes for about 350-400 thats too much.
just the core should be 350-400 not more IMO

ding ding ding! We have a winner. Ill be watching your threads, very interested, and have money avail for this. Cant wait!

I'd like to see the performance gains, and hear about them.
There really wont be *that* much in the way of performance gains, maybe 8 hp or so, but not much. Its just that after constant driving, you wong get any more pressure loss from the damn heat soak, that and maybe another 1 psi or so. On a hot day im lucky to get 5 psi.(yupnope)

I'm also VERY interested in this kit, I dont want to deal with a FMIC, since I already bought hardpipes that fit the stock SMIC.
Let us know when you get started!

I contacted a company here locally today about getting me the intercooler cores, but they haven't called me back yet. I will be out of town this weekend, but will try to get the ball rolling as soon as I hear back from them. Thank you for all who have shown interest in this product.
