ok its x-mas time so its time to order some gauges, can someone please tell me where i can get a two pod pillar, a ultra - lite boost gauge, and what i should put in the other pod? the a/f gauge? someone pleasee help me. hah

you can get all of the above from www.jegs.com. You can get an a/f guage but it won't be useful- I have one in my mustang and alls it does is piss me off, it's like a light show. By the time the car leans out and you notice it--too late, fried pistons. You really only need a boost guage depending on your tuning goals. If you want two on the pillar, i would get boost and oil press. Just my opinion though.

Actually the a/f is useful if you want to know when the car is in open loop operation. And if its its in open loop if your running too lean.

to me a basic a/f gauge is just that, for looks, they arent very accurate but thats just my opinion

the greddy has its own o2 sensor so it gets its own readings rather than reading from the factory o2 sensor like autometer and other cheaper light shows. someone on hear (i think linux) compared their wideband and greddy gauge and the greddy was very accurate. the greddy also reads in actual air/fuel ratios rather than light up "rich" or "lean" lights so you can tell how rich or how lean

It was spoolinMP3 who compared the 2.. He compaered the Uego WB02 to the greddy... Also the greddy gives a # readout instead of just rich or lean.

i seen an autometer a/f ratio guage in action last night, and omg all i have to say is that is the most useless gauge EVER. people aren't kidding about that. it just sweeps back and forth and looks like a bad night rider experience. the guy whose integra it was in says it works with his nitrous but thats ABOUT it

Yeah, the autometer a/f gauge is mostly useless....just a light show. I have one in my MSP, it will be replaced when I get the money. Other things come first though (hard pipes are the next thing I'm getting).

Like I said earlier, its pretty much only useful to let you know when the car is in open loop operation. If the car is in closed loop then its just a light show.

I got a DIN panel and filled it with 3 gauges. I only wanted a boost but, knowledge is power and decided to get 2 more. I got the 0-80 psi oil gauge and a voltmeter. (I figured that would be useful on a car who's lights dim when any load is presented to the system.)

I doubt anything higher than 80 would be useful. Generally there's a bypass valve around the filter that only allows a certain amount of pressure to be achieved at full operating temperatures. I don't know what is for the MSP engine but, it is ~64 psi for the Miata's engine. When the engine is cold, the psi could reach almost 80 psi briefly but, went down as it warmed up.
