Gauges DRIVER311 style!

Think i am gona move mine down there, is there much glare? reason i ask is because i can hardy see mine when the sun bright, who ever designed the prosport gauge with the tinted lens needs a good kick in the balls.

Need to find somewhere else for this now.

persoanlly i think mine and "2manycars" is perfect why put it somewhere else? it doesn't block anythinhg and you can clearly see your boost while your driving instead of having to look down?

perfect location -yes, perfect installation -no, because it is not look like it came with the car.

If you are looking for something that looks like it came with the car then I dont think there are any options that fit that requirement. After driving around with mine for a couple of weeks, I really like the location. Also, the way the Prosport gauge matches the proper lighting of the car is very slick...

I think its a sweeet spot too. Car is limited on places and actually turned out better than I thought. Viewing is not an issue. People always associate gauges with aftermarket too. So its kinda sleeper down there.

i agree. i made a photoshop a while ago with 3 gauges right there. i will do defi boost in the center first, then 2 more defi when i have money burning a hole in my pocket.

Quick question to the Driver. Where did you put the sender wire through the firewall for your location? Thanks.

I've got mine mounted down low as well. I ran the sender wire through the hole in the firewall thats right above the clutch pedal where the hood latch cable goes through.

Looks pretty sweet down there, the blue accent light shines right on top of the guage. Only thing is it really is something you can't pay very much attention to down there while driving. It's more for keeping a check on things here and there when its mounted that low.

does the blue light look weird shinning down on the top of it

Not at all, it was a pleasant surprise for me after I installed the gauge. My buddy thought it looked great too. It doesn't actually shine on the face of the gauge, just the top part of the rim of the gauge.

I also have mine mounted right in the middle between the cig lighter and the airbag light. It might look a little funny if you mounted the guage to one side replacing the airbag light or cig lighter unless you did 3 gauges to even it out. BTW I used the mechanical autometer guage. The sending line was just long enough when routed through the hole on the drivers side. I'm not sure if it would make it or not if you decide to use the hole on the passenger side.
