Garmin Nuvi 660 Crash(NEED HELP; URGENT!)

I have a Garmin Nuvi 660(see attached picture), I have had it for about uhhhhh, 3-4 months?

Anyways, about a month and a half ago, the satellite signal frequently became sporadic.(inconsistent and unreliable)
About 5 weeks ago, I completely lost the signal


-I still haven't gotten a signal.

At first I thought it lost reception because I had delayed updating the software to the 2008 version. However, once I completed the update, it still did not receive the satellite signal.

I googled the conditions, and apparantly other Nuvi 660 users are having the same problem.

I was wondering if anyone here has a 660 and if they had any problems with it? If so, what did you do to fix it? (I have already tried resetting it to manufactured defaults, but that didn't work.)

I am hopeless without a GPS (Ask Ebruess, he can tell ya lol) and prom is coming soon. This could be a minor problem. (UNDERSTATEMENT)

if it is under warrenty, return it for another one.

It's actually a pretty common problem with the Garmin units and every unit they have is prone to it although the 350 seems to be the most common one with issues. My brother's 350 did the exact same thing as you described -- he had to send it back to Garmin (and some guy named "Dick Swallow", I s*** you not) and they shipped him a referbished unit back. It's 1 of the 2 big faults of the Garmin units quite honestly.
