Fyi Road Magnet Springs???

for someone saying to cut the bumpstops, is that on the rear or front? I am about to install mine and Ive installed 4 sets of springs before on cars and NEVER had to cut any "bumpstops" in the past!

Front only. You don't have to remove the rear shocks to get the springs on.

I sprayed some silicone on the bottom hats or the spring perch. After. I wish I had layed a little grease where the springs contact the mount points. You should check some bolts for tightness after someone does your work. My car is quiet as it should be now but i also got some disturbing noises and went after them. One of them was not enough grease when i Installed sway bars. So i greased them till snotty and no noise now. The attachment point at the front strut tower will clunk if loose etc. Just some thought as I hate to see a fellow member disappointed

hey dude... thats pretty cool. i havent checked this thread in a few weeks. i thought it just died out. lol u do make some very good points again and i thank u. when u say sways...u mean the lower bars yah? i have hotchkis front and rear and they were also put on by the same mechanics. when u say heavily greased..where are u greasing? thru the ports or where they meet the end links?

Yes its good to check back on stuff on the forums. Alot of my help for my car has come from here. My Hotchkis anti swaying bars have grease fittings for the bushings. Which is awesome really. I regreased these after driving for a couple weeks because the suspension groaned when hitting bumps slow or fast. So i hit the fittings with my grease gun. I probably put too much in there but the worse thing in this case is that the grease oozes out of the 'bushings' and is a little messy. These things are part of the brackets that hold the bars to the body of the car and allow the swaybars to rotate as the suspension works up and down. The rear , you can just crawl under the back without even jacking. but the front is much easier to do on a lift. Any ways The regreasing made the bars quieter over bumps. I should have used more on the install. I am not sure about the endlinks or if they need anything besides being tight. Someone with more experience will have to help on that. Very long winded, sorry W C

how about ur springs? u have the road magnets? if so... is ur rm sticker upside down? can these springs be put on upside down? my stickers are on the front and the back. could this be an issue?

I have Cobb springs. Geez i dont think mine can be put on upside down but i bet these guys know.

just seeing this, but theres gotta be somethign wrong with ur install if you hate the roadmagnets that much. Ive had mine on for over a year and a half and have no complaints at all

Put me down as another RoadMagnet believer. I've had them for almost a year and a half, and NO issues at all.

i dont have the front and rear bars. I want them, but havent been able to scratch together the extra cash just yet. and yeah, you definitely need a new mechanic if he installed them upside down, i didnt even know that was possible!
