FYI: My mods and emissions testing...

So, the car has OBX header, VTCS removal and mild porting on the intake, injen intake, and HKS Hiper muffler.

I did the spark plug non-fouler mod for the second O2 sensor.

Went through MD emissions today without any issues.

Now, if I can only get the cammed, Gt-40 headed 5.0L through...

U could have straight pipes shooting flames, and MD would pass u i dont think our state cares LOL

Depends. They failed my 5.0L...They don't do much of a visual if any at all. Should be interesting when I bring the wagon back for retest. New motor and exhuast. Went from a 150 HP 5.0l to a 300hp one...

Damascus, huh. Next town over from where I grew up. I'm in Westminster now.

mine shot flames all day long when I had the corksport exhaust on it (hah)

any state south of jersey doesn't really care about emissions.
I'm feeling you there bro' I'm about to get an exhaust maybe a OBX cat and probably some OBX header and I'm trying to figure out were to get that sticker but you know if you ask around enough you'll find a mechanic, atleast around Passaic County.

Well, of course they failed it if it had a CEL. You must not have had a low enough cut shirt on..

They don't check much of anything. When my 81 mustang failed with a 289 4bbl I used a reciept from summit racing for a Wieand stealth intake and a carter AFB carb to get the waiver. Both are non emissions parts...Might have to do a similar deal with the wagon.

its impossible to pass an emissions test with mods in cali with all the strict as hell laws...

I had similar mods when I passed emissions here in Oregon. Now they are talking about adopting the even stricter California standards... say it isn't so!!!

ya, i've got fam in ky and fl, they could give a crap less....you also so all sorts of crap on the road too!!

i know there are some places in ma where you can spend an extra $60 and get a sticker without the emissions test, of course it's not on the up and up....

brian, i almost got some nice flames when i started the car with a leaking enjector and it went pop! it was a close one!!

i live about an hour south of atlanta...we are lucky enough not to have that crazy s*** here...both of my cars are cat-less.

i passed in PA with an OBX and Injen CAI

really??? i'm looking to do the same mods after christmas but i'm worried about the emissions test...did you do the spark plug non-fouler trick?

does running your car on premium make u test better?????

i don't think it would...i've heard people say that, but i'm not certain they are right.....?

I doubt it. Higher octane gas takes longer to burn...I'd think it would increase emissions unless you are tuned for it. Dumping a bunch of isopropyl alcohol helps lower emissions. That's all drygas and the garaunteed emission pass additives are.

Some argue that because it burns a little slower that it burns more completely = less emissions. Who knows...
