functional hoods

if your filter is their, i.e. short ram intake. 1100 for a hood is a little steep. most c/f hoods go for abt 600.

welcome to the forum btw

search vis, gemeni (sp) and a few others. dont get me wrong dg makes great products and i have a bunch of them on my car but the price is a little high!!

In short, yes that hood is functional if you have a short ram. I like the CAI + reverse cowl or evo hood combo much better though.
loveofmoney in the SA thread has this hood + DG SRI

hmm that evo vis hood has always appealed to me.....i found it going for about 700...but has anyone found it in carbon fiber? i just got some headlight covers that are cf and (at the STRONG suggestion of my fellow TX regional forum members) i want to match it up with the hood

mine is c/f. the vis one is abt 700 for c/f. look at my pic (thats my car) u see the c/f with the black paint!!!!! just if you buy a vis product.!!!!! %%% inspect it before the delivery guy leaves %%% vis will not accept returns after you accept delivery. so inspect it b4 you sign for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok after much debating i would like to purchase the xlerated concepts one but i cant find the site for it. I was told toprotege.com but that was just another forum....please help

These hoods working are 99% theory.

Yes, there are openings. Wether or not much air goes through these holes at speed is another story.

Don't get the hood for performance. Get one you like.

You will get more performance out of the hood by the fact that it is lighter than stock than the "ram air".

No, I am not letting you. You need to save for a forged engine, remember. (And a tubular mani.)(first)

Just get a Nova or AMX or Challenger, etc. with a blower... No need for a hood!!! WOOOOO! Hell yeah...
