So i got everything back together in my car, blew my last motor up. now the fuel pump wont prime in the key on position and when i crank it no spark. i cant seem to find anything unplugged anywhere, i swapped the ignition relay with the ac relay and nothing different. any other ideas? grounds i may have missed, plugs that are hard to see i might have overlooked? swapped out the crank sensor with the one from my old motor, and the cam sensor also, but even if those were bad, the pump should still prime, right? gonna work on it tongiht, please give me any ideas you might have while im stuck at work.

Any alarm in the mix?? ... also I blew the fuse to my j&s which was the first thing I checked actually since I was just messing with it a few days prior but at first glance it looked good. Figured it out the next day immediately after leaving her alone at the corner store all night.

Battery a hair low?

i do have a split second ftc.... think i should do anything with that? (other than replace it with stand alone)

one thing to note, i was planning on re-locating my fuse box, and i did cut and lengthen about 20 wires or so on the harnes that comes out of the driver door, and goes to the fuse box and all the lights and stuff.. i did this one at a time and was very carefull to not cross anything, and soldered and heat shrink wrapped all connections... anyone have a spare harness like that?

i switched that relay with the AC relay because i read that somewhere, same issue. you are talkig bout the one in the fuse box right?

If you remove the relay you should hear it click as you plug it back in so you know if it's working or not. Honestly it more than likely the fuse box wiring you hacked and soldered.

Yup.

Double check power and such, there is always the chance there isn't a good connection in the wires you "adjusted"

im gonna double check everything tonight. i have lengthened wires to relocate things a jillion times, i am not a noob at it, but theres always a chance thats the problem. im just trying to see if there is anything other then that, which is why i didnt mention it in the first post, i already know thats a possibility, and im 99% sure its not the problem. im looking for other possible solutions. ill check the ignition switch

have you checked your fuses? When you turn the key to the on position what does your coolant temp gauge do?

i checked the fuses, they are all good, didnt notice the temp gauge doing anything, what should i look for in regards to that

just normally if you've blown a fuse like the fuel pump or the engine fuse the coolant gauge will spike hot when you turn the key to the on position

Oh ok. The temp gauge doesn't move. The crank sensor ohm reading was 550, so its fine, the cam sensor is fine. to clarify, which relay is for the fuel pump? If this diagram is correct, there is no power going to it http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/supermazdatech/2011-01-07_072442_relay.gif

that doesn't line up with the bottom of the fuse box.diagram, which says that's the "CIRCUIT OR SPV"

Also, the "MAIN" relay (Per the bottom of the fuse box, not that diagram I posted) is getting power as it should. both relays tested fine.

all readings were with the key on...
