Changing fuel filter

Hello guys!

Has anyone done the fuel filter replace?
It seems that to change the fuel filter u can access it thru the interior, removing one of the second row seats....is that the best option?
Or taking down the fuel tank etc?

Since I don't know, I will just answer your sig question...THAT...I mean CX-9...bought it for the wife afterall (wink)

Anyway, guys, its already been done. Eventually the seats were removed and the fuel filter change is history.

I was checking my owner's manual for the 24 month maintenance items and was shocked to find that it recommends replacing the fuel filter. Really? Have people been replacing fuel filters in their CX-9s?

I have a 2010 touring AWD.

By any chance that you mis-read that?

There is no maintenance schedule for the fuel filter. It is difficult to access to.
It sits on top of the fuel tank (beneath the floor). No need to pay attention to it unless something is not right.

Thanks for your reply Ceric. This is in Section 8 - maintenance schedule 1 - of the owner's manual for the 2010 CX-9.

I re-read - my mistake - it's a requirement in Mexico.
