Fuel Cut Question

Hi, I have a flashed Mazdaspeed Protege. I flashed it because I was having the hessitation problem. This took care of the problem for a few months. Now the problem is back and it is worst. During hard accelaration sometimes the car feels like the fuel is cut for less than a second then it goes back to normal. This feeling is really bad since it feels like your neck is going to break. The car is at the Mazda dealer right now, but they called me and told me that there is nothing wrong with car, they check for error in the ECU, but found nothing wrong. Tomorrow I am going to ask the service adviser to have the technician ride with me in the car "me driving" and see if I can reproduce the problem, since unfortunately it does not do it all the time. Have any of you guys experienced this condition. Man, I love my Mazdaspeed, but Man! sometimes I wonder why did I buy this car!
Thanks,

Thanks,

you are probably hitting the fuel cut, what kind of temps are there where you are, if its cold enough you might be hitting fuel cut even at stock boost, i was, so i bought a joe p fcd that might do the trick for ya.

I live in South Florida, the weather here is around 70 to 80 degrees, all I have in my car is a K&N Filter. When you hit the fuel cut, how does it feels, is it just for a second then the car continues the accelaration?

yea it feels like you hit a brick wall the car just stops accelerating and you get a massive jerk then it goes and sometimes it will keep hitting it.

Usually i get off the gas as soon as i hit it. When i was hitting it, it was around 3500-3800 rpm's in 3-5th gear.

Yep, that it is me. What a piece of work! I cannot believe this is happening to my stock setup. I don't even know if I will be able to reproduce the problem tomorrow at the Mazda Dealership, because accoriding to them my car has not problems at all. I am going to drive it hard tomorrow with the tech onboard, he better hold on! LOL..
Hey, thanks the info.

make sure all your pipes are connected good. My upper intercooler pipe running from the turbo to the intercooler was loose one time and did this. Its exactly like fuel cut. I dont get fuel cut even at 14psi when i was running that high. But check your connections this shouldn't happen at that temperature on stock boost especially. Its gotta be something with the pipes or vac hoses.

Thank you for you help, I will check all the piping and vacum hoses. Can you believe I took to the Mazda Dealer and drove the car with a Mazda Tech next to me, and guess what, it did not do it. What a luck. I really hard to reproduce the problem, but no luck. This does not happen all the time, but when it happens it is prety bad. Anyways, thanks for the info, I will definately check on it.
