ok when to MITM (mazda in the mountains)

on teh way home drive about 120-130km/h

then all sudden out no where...car starts slowling down...and i am on teh throttle down shifted and nothing...

so i pulled over and let it cool...ok back on teh road everythings fine till i high a HUGE hill then...fuel cut get in again...

black smoke coming out...yeah i am running a little rich

question is what wrong? with teh car?

it was pretty cold outside too and i dunno what is wrong

help please!

Thats not fuel cut....Fuel cut is sudden and comes right back after you back out of the throttle....it doesn't need cooled down.
Fuel cut feels like you hit a brick wall..Its that violent.
Yours sound like possibly a bad MAF maybe..If it's blowing black smoke..its dumping way too much fuel. Have you checked all your vacuum lines and intake piping?
What mods are you running?

alright,
Mods are just an injen Intake! thats all

double check all the clamps vacuum lines..all tight..

on the way there i had no problems just on the way back?

Check your intake clamps. Also, reset your ECU and drive gently for about 5 mins to re learn it, then let er rip. Ph. me if you're still having probs. You were smoking alot today when you got on the throttle.

ok...! ill reset teh ecu..drive it slowly then rip it....

alright nick what time you sleeping tonight?

alot? to much fuel?

Sounds like you blew off an intercooler pipe.. More than likely the cold pipe..

relaly i blew off an intercool pipe hmm ill go check now too

itsslow anythiny else that could gone wrong?

Im sure theres alot of stuff that could have gone wrong.. But from what you've described, you only blew off an intercooler pipe..

Ive seen it happen to other turbo'd cars.. You'll automatically lose power even while giving it gas.. and while giving it gas, its pouring out black smoke.. Those are the symptoms for an intercooler pipe being blown off..

yup i went around and wiggle them and see if they came off and no one them did and i got a screw driver and tight them again
and nothign is loose

Probably cracked one. The stock hardpipes were notorious for that. It will be VERY hard to see. Slap a boost pressure tester on there and see what's up.

Nick/Tony..you guys going to the meet tomorrow night? I'll bring a flashlight..and maybe we can check his piping. You could have a leak somewhere.

tony - why is there electrical tape where the intercooler pipe goes into the throttle body?

dunno was there from teh start that tape who knows

alright see you guys there thanks guys
ill buy dinner or lunch on the weekend if you guys want to come over and shti and chil haha

sounds like a boost leak but if thats not it you might want to check your coil packs but it will throw a cel as it progressively gets worse so good luck happy tuning
