Attempts to artificially control (by fooling the ECU) the delivery of fuel, air or boost while continuing to use the stock ECU's mapping are not very friendly to our ECU in the long run and tend not to do well on this platform.
What are your mods and under what conditions are you seeing this "cut." There are a lot of reasons you may be experiencing this and are there may be other solutions depending on your cause. It might be as simple as the gap having opened up on your spark plugs and needing to regap them back. Or it might have to do with something being induced from a particular mod that can be resolved in some other fashion. Your "cut" is not necessarily fuel cut.
