2003 msp just got it stock
ok guys so my mazdapspeeds pretty much stock i have the stock dp to a 3 inch side exit exhaust not cats, and i put a cone filter on the stock intake. thats it. my car started randomly not boosting much(no boost gauge but i can tell) in any gear if i try to boost it boggs out makes the exhuast louder like a dump hits fuel cut like crazy. i d k wat it is all signs pointed to wastegate i searched and searched bout the atp replacement put that in re did all vac lines inspeceted stock piping everything. took out for test drive worked for the quick spin worked on the ride home. went out about 1hr later same thing bogging cutting bucking. its so bad. i can barely drive it have to ease on to the pedal even half throttle its bogging down. any helpp u can guys can offer greatly appreciated.

I had the same thing happen to me and 1 of my IC pipes was slightly disconnected. If you still have the stock plastic piping i would check there first, there might be a crack in the piping and when you put load on the engine it may be leaking. You should also look into getting a boost gauge there so important to have.

i cant seem to find a leak in my ic piping i have no clue what it could be? could it be spark plugs? do our cars have boost control solounoids (cant spell) anythings appreciated .

any one else? im stumped and i really hate to take it to a mechanic because alot of them dont know a whole lot. would have to find a specialist in the area.

Well if you do decide to take it to a mechanic pm kooldino. He lives in NJ and he is the man to get your car running right.

As has been said already.....a boost gauge is a must when turbos are in the mix. If you relocate your MAF temporarily to the cold side you can check for bad IC piping because the car will drive smoothly even without any boost/boost leak. Fuel cut would be "overboosting" not underboosting....unless the MAF is getting a bad signal....

thanx for all the help guys ill def pm kooldino and i would temp relocate the maf but i have stock plastic piping juss picked up a gauge will b in this weekend i really needa figure this out.

you difinatley have a leak somwhere, try to do a leak down test threw your piping, Make sure you wastegat act. is funtioning, if you can blow straight threw the straw then thats not a good sign

JoeP FCD will satisfy all your boost cut needs!!!

i don't really know that he would get bucking from a boost leak. a boost leak would cause it to bleed off boost and or want to die when idling. the bucking definitely sounds like boost cut.

i know that when you get a CAI with a pretty good flow the ECU calls for boost cut super quick, especially if the air is cold outside. i had the same problem until i got my JoeP FCD. it's a cure all.

the same thing happened when i blew the pipe off the turbo.... exactly the same. every now and then going home it would run good for a few then s*** again.... check your piping
