FSZE Starter

Does anyone know where I can get an FSZE stater?

I wouldn't have thought the starter on the ZE engines would be any different to those on the DE engines.

Any reason why you can't or don't want to use just a regular DE starter?

I've got about 11.4:1 compression and I've gone through 4 starters in a year. I would imagine the FSZE with the high compression would need and have a stronger starter.

AT this moment I don't, I can research it. What did your come off of?

I may have one do you by chance know the Mazda Part # for it???

If you have a look around there are some starters that are rated to 1.4kW, where I think that the stock one is only 1.1kW.

Yes, stock AUDM (Australian delivered) FS-DE pistons are 9.7:1

Go to a "Starter/Alternator" shop and ask them to wind it stronger. Tell them that it is too weak and they will use a larger winding (wire) on the armature..
