Next up is the Xcelerated Concepts Reverse Cowl CF Hood and Trunk Lid. Both items are mint, the hood has a very small chip at the front lip of the hood. The Hood will already come installed with the Aerocatch Hood latches, and ill include the arms i had machined for the pins. The trunk will also come with the Mazdaspeed Badge. Both items have great fitment!

XC Reverse Cowl Carbon Fiber Hood - $750 (Hood Retails @ $910 shipped)
- includes installed Aerocatch Latches ($100 value) and custom made aluminum arms for the pins.

XC Carbon Fiber Trunk - $425 (Retails @ $645 shipped)
- includes Mazda Genuine Mazdaspeed Badge

If you purchase both items, I can shave some cash off the top.

Buyer will need to pick up from my home in the Houston Area. Or if you drive down with your car to install, i will personally help install these items with you.

thats a nice, nice hood. I'm not really a fan of the latches though.

Just curious though, price on these??

I'm sorry to hear about your car, i liked it alot.

Snap! forgot the price, lol.

I didnt want hood pins or latches, but this hood along with other CF hoods ive had flop around during freeway speeds. So something was needed, and I didnt want the usual ricey, imo, hood pins. So i decided on these lockable latches. And thanx, she was my baby.

where do the braces link up to?

Im going to try and find pics to show you guys. I used an existing hole in the frame right behind the driver side headlight. Then drilled a hole on the opposite side behind the passenger side headlight.

Damn, I really want that hood, even though im not a fan of the latches....But that price is a lil high, its higher than what they sold for new during the GB.

Regardless, its ur hood so u can sell it for whatever u like, i may end up taking the wastegate though

Good luck with the sale, I just read about your situation and I wish you the best

I can understand where your coming from, but take it from my side. The price of the hood, plus the price of the latches, plus the time at work making the alumium arms for the pins (also using keenserts in the arrms for the stainless screws so it wouldnt **** up the soft aluminum when tighten down) , PLUS the 6 hours of my time using precise measuring and smooth cutting of the carbon hood to put the latches on. I also cut to form and used soft pads in between the latches and hood, so cracking wouldnt occur over time with the screws going through the hood and being tightened down. Alot of time, thought, and effort was put into the installation and making of these pieces. I believe its priced very reasonably.

I appreciate your wishes.

Who, in Houston, does performace work on Mazda's?

Don't know about Houston but JDM Sam at Crossover Auto does alot of Mazda stuff in Dallas.

Bumpity....just about all my big items are called for: Advans, gtspec bars, fmic, etc except for the carbon goodies! Some sexy hardware ready to be flaunted. I know you Texas Cats need some CF Goodness...

If I ever head in that direction for work, ill give ya a shout. That goes for anyone whos interested....i travel all over the states with my job, ive just kept myself grounded lately from everything thats been going on down here.

I seriously wish I had the money for that hood cause I would be heading down to Houston tomorrow with cash in hand and have that hood installed for the drive back. Bump guys for a great hood and a great guy in general.

^ Thanx dude!

If someone purchases both items, I can shave some cash off the top.
