A guy driving a bobcat totalled my Mazda recently (funny story), so let my loss be your OEM HID gain! I'm not sure if non-HID-equipped 3s come with the harness/plug that go into the OEM ballasts, so I don't know if it's necessarily "plug-and-play", but included are the ballasts, igniters, and bulbs.

One is entirely original, 5 years/65k old. One is newer when I got my headlamp assembly replaced - I don't have the exact date/mileage of the repairs anymore since that was in my glove box, but it's a little over 1.5 years old and probably 18-20k old. In trying to pry the wire off a screw on the newer one, the shielding got stripped some - wires themselves look fine, I'm planning on getting some shrink shielding to go over it before selling.

Shipping/selling from Omaha, NE. I would say $250 obo given how much the OEM parts sell for new. If you don't want to take a chance on quality with aftermarkets and would prefer OEM and are interested, PM me. Thanks!

I hope it's not too bad of form to bump this old thread, but I still have the ballasts/igniters/bulbs for sale if anyone is interested. I'm going to list them again in a few places, will probably ask $200 now.

i wanna hear the funny story about ur car getting totaled lol (not funny ur car got totaled at all, just wanna hear how lol)

i mean come on.... you cant say a bobcat totalled your car and say it was funny then just not tell us lol (gah)

I guess it could have been funnier - maybe more "unique" than anything. I was following a guy driving a bobcat down residential streets for over a block at crawling speeds. He turned, then went for about 70ft, and stopped. What would you do if you were crawling behind a bobcat for that long and then they stopped? You'd go around them, right?

When I went to go around him, he turned left and plowed right into the passenger side of my car with the fork end.

The call to the insurance company was amusing. "A bobcat...like the animal??"

Ballast for Mazda 3

Hi, Do you still have the Mazda ballast available?
It sounds like you know a little about them?
I have a 2010 Mazda 3 Hatchback with the passenger HID head lamp out...and probably the ballast too...at least I hope that is what it is. A garage put a a new HID lamp in it and it didn't work.
I am thinking about replacing is myself. Remove the bumper...you have to be kidding me.
How would we know if your ballast is the right one for my car?
Thanks, Tom

may i be cheeky and ask if you have more front-end parts? i'm looking for lots of front-end goodies. i literally just bought two lights yesterday, or else i'd buy yours :( i had to down-grade to the non-hid kind becuz i couldn't find OEM ones! :(
