FS: DIN Gauge Panel

Arrrgh! How did I miss this! I'm currently running triple Defi's in a flat din panel. I need something that is angled towards the driver - so I picked up a double din mount (close but no cigar). I need one of these. Figure out how to import them and you will make a mint!

... and pm me when you do ...

I originally had the stock double din P5 radio but now I have a Pioneer and want a din gauge panel but the install kit I used for the Pioneer won't work with a din gauge panel.

What kit do I need for the head unit so I can fit a gauge panel under it? I was thinking about how the Kenwoods are mounted in the MSP's and the MP3's from the factory but I don't know how those are mounted.

Any help??

You'd need the metal bar that holes the MSP Kenwood unit up. Can't be too much from the dealership, check with bagman1 on here.. he's the onlinemazdaparts.com guy, and can get stuff at a great price.

That's probably the best triple gauge din unit I've seen. I like that it doesn't angle the gauges a ton like most of them do.

I've got the part number for the MSP bar and I was going to check at my work (Mazda dealer) to see what my cost on it was.

Can I just use that metal bar to hold up the radio? Or does the pocket do most of the holding up? If all I needed was the MSP metal support bar then goodbye cheap Scosche head unit installation kit and hello gauge pod!!

The metal bar bears all the load. I don't think the pocket really comes in contact with it, just the door on the pocket covers stuff up I think.

Yeah ditch the scosche. I had a metra and it was TERRIBLE. The MSP radio pocket and bar is such an improvement.

THANKS!! I would love to have the pocket there but having the gauge pod there would making running the gauge wires a lot easier than running them from the A-Pillar or somewhere else. Nice and hidden with easy access.

Hong Kong, that's where I bought these.

Seriously. If you have a contact there and can direct them on where to buy these (and ship them to you) - you'de be able to sell these at $35 - $40 a pop. Or you could point us in the right direction :D

AGREED. I want one as well

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks this is a really nice looking gauge panel. I need moAR turbo(!!) before I get those though haha

If I could get more I would but I don't know anyone there. I was there on a vacation. I only bought two extra because I didn't know how they would sell here and didn't want to have extra.

Nope. Not at least till Christmas time when my g/f goes back to HK.

Bump 'cause Xmas is only a month and 1/2 away! Please, please, please have her grab a grip of these ... (ughdance)

haha.. a "grip" of these.. what a socal term. I will try to get HELLA of these panels. Hopefully there would be no problem going through customs or something.

Keep us posted :) These are good for all cars that can fit a DIN panel ... can't think of anything else "SoCal" to say, it's just a state of being.

mmm one of those would be nice :) just would have to think of 3 gauges to put in there. I was planning on my boost gauge being in a steering column pod.
