I bought it sometime in the summer. It works flawlessly. Ive had movies play on this player that were all nicked up that my 360 player couldnt even play

How's the quality of the DVD's on that thing?

Id say its between 480p (progressive scan) and 720p. Its not true hd but it does bring out brighter and more crisp colors and and smoothes the edges. Maybe check out cnet.com and read some reviews on it? As far as I know its a good upconvert player
