shane this sat i want a ride in your car...i may end up getting this and putting hte sport 20 front end on it.
yea i need to do my research on it. But basically im just wondering how long the motor is gonna be good for running boost like that? are the 1.6 motors more reliable and better/faster than the 2.0's? This is basically the deal breaker for me if i can sell my car in time to buy this one.

the 1.6 litre is a boost monster, it loves boost, it has real short, and fat rods, compaired to the fs-de's long skinny rods, do a search on the highboost kit they made he was pushing insane amounts of boost throught a 1.6 litre for testing, i believe he made like 300hp.
as far as my car goes, it only has 225wtq, and its too much, it has absolutly no traction in first gear, and into second, if i punch it from a roll it will just roast the tires, and i mean roast. the boost comes on hard and fast in this little car, and it holds the boost all the way to redline.
and for compaireson (spelling?) justanother if you ride in shanes car, you can prolly times that by 5 if not more, i know he runs low boost with an automatic i run like 12 psi with a 6 puk clutch, lol its a whole diffrent car. not knocking your car either shane

i mean you can never say for sure how long an engine under boost is gonna last, but look at it this way, i have 100k on the odo, and the car runs just as strong as the day i bought it, it could last for years, or blow tomorrow, i have no idea, but i have no reason to believe this engine would ever blow, and if by chance it did happin to blow, d0od they go for like 300 bucks on ebay, lol there isnt a real demand for the 1.6 litre engine so they are cheap as balls.nocar said:

yeah its a stick it has a brand new less then 100 miles on it ACT 6 puk racing clutch. yes it has power windows locks, mirrors cd player, also go here and read up juan tested a 1.6 litre for his turbo kit.nocar said:
