So I have had my 6 GT since labor day, and it has 600 miles on it. I noticed a couple of days ago that when I go over a speed bump, I hear a clunking noise as soon as the tires meet and exit the bump. I am also noticing the same noise when I go over a larger bump or turn from a dead stop, all of which are under normal driving conditions. Since I am still within break-in period, I am driving like those folks who are members of AARP and on Medicare. (apologize for trying to be cute, but everyone else does so I thought I would join in).
I have an appointment with my dealer Friday, but am really curious about this issue and if others are experiencing it. This scenario brings me back to the days when I bought an early production 2003 Mazda 6 GT with brake noises/grinding issues, which seemed to be in the car's DNA and it took Mazda forever to get it fixed. My fear is that this issue is in the 2014's DNA. I remember the brake issue being especially frustrating when you have people in your new car and they all comment about noises the car should not obviously be making. Anyone remember those brake noises?
