I believe you want these pointed outwards, so on the passenger side it points out away from the car just like how it is in the picture. Can anyone confirm?
the front upper strut mounts can be rotated to adjust the camber and castor 0.5 for each position. so, really, the question becomes: which position will you need to mount for your alignment?
