Front/Rear motor mounts

anyone just running the front along with the side inserts? How do you think that setup would be?

I currently have the AWR front (70 durometer) installed and I have the side inserts in a box waiting to be installed.

I've read that the side inserts will lessen the cabin vibration felt by a stiffer front mount. I personally can't verify this because I haven't installed the side inserts yet but I'll update when I get them in.

You could try it, but I wouldn't reccomend it. I don't know of this happening or not, but I would think that the rear one would be shaken to pieces after a little while if your AWR mounts are too stiff. One could argue that the other mounts would totally prevent this, but the front mount only sits on a support brace and the side ones are inserts....

Of course I'm not speaking from experience. Just a theory.

I just went ahead and bought 95's all the way around after my rear mount AND my left mount went. I can easily say that I wish I had bought them long ago.

do you have to pull the motor out to replace the rear motor mounts..... where did everyone purchase their mounts from....

you don't have to pull the engine to do the rear, just a lot of people who are already removing the engine for some other reason change out the rear mount while it's easy to do. there's a how-to on swapping the rear mount.

I replaced front and rear. The front was a piece of cake, but the back was a bit of a pain (i didn't get enough extensions). I have the manual front and the auto back. 95 and 88 respectively? Not for sure on the numbers. There was quite a bit of vibration at first, but doesn't seem to be as bad now. Could either be that I've just gotten used to it, or they have broken in. I think I am just more used to them because I have only really driven the car in the driveway and had a friend drive it down the road, and it's not TOO bad. There haven't even really been many miles put on it since I put them in. And the big vibration letting out the clutch is just something where I'll have to change my "slow-driving" style a little. They were SO, SO needed as the front was ripped pretty good and the rear was pretty much non-existent.

Used the thread in the how-to section and it worked perfectly!(first)
