front end noises!!!

i have a clunking and clicking noise coming from the front suspension, which occurs when starting or going over bumps. and a vibration that i can hear and feel coming from the front of the engine, which occurs intermittently under light load (like when the power steering pump engages). i took it to the dealer hoping it was covered under warranty. they claim my dogbone motor mount caused the passenger side mount to break which is causing the vibration. they also claimed that my H&R springs caused the cv boots to tear which dried out the bearings and caused the clunking and clicking. they want to replace the axles to fix it.

has anyone else had any experiences similar to this? any other fixes? i think the dealer is pulling my leg.

Thats complete bs about the mount. Having a better rear mount would not make one of your other ones break. Doesn't make any sense. Unfortunately they might have you on the suspension end. Strut problems are notorious on our car, especially when you lower it with the stock struts.

H&R springs will not have ANYTHING to do with your CV boots tearing...so thats total BS.
As for the RMM, well I have heard that from other companies even CP-E has stated that can happen.

im not to worried about the motor mount issue i will just upgrade the stock broken mount. my worry is that the dealer claims my axle bearings are shot and the most efficient way of fixing that is to replace the axles (at $1400) i dont think all this could be caused by a change in the axle angle from lowering the car.

actually that's the only way it can be replaced...because it's built as one unit. but I would SHOP around and see if any local performance shop can do the work it will be 50% cheaper I'm sure.

i decided to just buy upgraded passenger and transmission mounts and just get rid of all of the crap stockers. then i will be able to take it to one of my old shops and put it on a lift and decide what im gonna do about the suspension and axles. im not convinced that the axle bearings are destroyed.

well if you decide to get upgraded mounts all together well prepare yourself for some SERIOUS!!! and I mean SERIOUS amounts of VIBES and discomfort from your car. Just my 2 cents.
