I've had this nasty clunk coming from the front right end. It almost sounds like thick metal on metal contact. I checked for the obvious first it being the endlink, which was still on very tight, and no play as well as no leak, I checked the ball joint and that seems okay, no play when I rock the wheel vertically and the rubber boot seems to be okay with no leak. So I had a look at the sway bar bushing and this is what I saw. Now I'm not too familiar with what a worn out bushing looks like but if you look closely the bottom part of the bushing where it meets the subframe is completely flattened and the rest of the bushing seems really soft. Would anyone here say that the worn out bushing is most likely the cause of this clunking?
